Pace. That's the most important element.

Pace. That's the most important element.  At least it is if you're trying to get an ambulance up the banking from Rose Heyworth field.

For the second occasion in less than 6 months we've had to abandon a game due to injury. Luckily, though the patient this time is sore and  bruised, Benger is well. But what about the health of the team?

The game was abandoned with the score at 7-14 to the visitors. A typically tight affair between these keen rivals.

Tref managed two scores before T's could reply. The first of which came from a sustained period of pressure, with the Tref scorer showing impressive gymnastic skills to ground the ball despite the close attention of the cover defence.

The second came from sloppy marking of the quick line out, which gave Tref an embarrassing array of choices against an ill prepared defence.

Meanwhile, the T's were showing promise with their off loading game. However in stark contrast to the lazy start against Grillings, this week we were, if anything, a bit over excited and kept forcing the pass. All this despite the backs making great ground whenever they had the ball.

Eventually, after about 8 phases of attack, and 10 minutes in the Tref half, Jamie James sneaked a score in, which Glennery converted.

As one commentator noted, 'all T's need now is belief'. Unfortunately, we'll never know if they could've found it, as the game ended with 20 minutes remaining on the clock.
